Problem, we had to figure out the relationship between the mass added to the bottom of the spring and the length of the spring.
Independent Variable: Mass added to the spring
Dependent Variable: Length of the spring
Control Variables: Type of spring, where the spring was placed
Procedure:
1. Place spring on metal arm hanging over the edge.
2. Add mass was increasingly added to the bottom of the spring from 10g - 1100g,
3. Measure the length at intervals of your choice. Record your measurements from the same place to receive more accurate measurements.
4. Keep adding and measuring weights until a satisfactory amount of trials have been completed
